At a glance
We collect what we need to prepare a reading: your name, birth date, time and place, email and WhatsApp number. For a Compatibility & Synastry reading, we also collect the same birth details for one other person.
We do not receive your card, UPI or bank details. Payments are handled by Razorpay.
We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not use it for advertising without your consent.
We do not share your data with anyone for their own use. It is handled by the services that help us run our business, on our behalf: payments, website, email, messaging, storage and the software and tools, which may include artificial-intelligence tools, that help us prepare reports.
You can ask us to see, correct or erase your data, or withdraw your consent, by writing to support@nakshatraco.in.

When you browse the Website
Our website host may automatically record basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit and the time of your visit. This is used to keep the Website secure and working, and to understand overall traffic in aggregate. We do not currently use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. If we introduce them, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires.
What we do not ask for
We do not ordinarily ask for your religion, caste, health information, financial account details, passwords or government ID numbers, and we request that you do not send them to us.
3. Why we use your data
We use your personal data for the following purposes:
Calculating your chart and preparing your report: Name and birth details (and the other person’s, for Compatibility)
Delivering your report, and sending order updates and clarifications: Name, email, WhatsApp number
Confirming your payment and matching it to your order: Name, email, phone number, payment ID, amount, status
Answering your questions and complaints: Contact details and your messages
Keeping order, payment and refund records: Order and payment details
Keeping the Website secure and preventing fraud or misuse: Technical data, order and payment details
Improving our methods and Website: Only in de-identified or aggregated form
Sending offers or updates about new readings: Email or WhatsApp number, if you have agreed to receive them
We do not intend to use your data for purposes unrelated to those listed above.
4. The basis on which we use your data
Your consent. By submitting an order form or contact form, you consent to our using the data you provide for the purposes described in this policy. Receiving offers and updates is optional and does not affect your order.
Legitimate uses permitted by law. We may also use your data where the law allows it without separate consent, such as keeping records required by tax and accounting law, responding to lawful requests from authorities, and preventing fraud.
5. Another person’s details
If you give us someone else’s birth details, for example for a Compatibility & Synastry Report, you confirm that:
you have told that person you are sharing their details with us, and why; and
they have agreed, or you are their parent or lawful guardian.
We use their details to prepare the reading you ordered, and keep and delete them on broadly the same schedule as yours.
6. Service providers who handle your data for us
We do not share your personal data with anyone for their own use. Like any business, we rely on service providers who handle data on our behalf, to provide their services to us:
Razorpay: payment processing
Framer: our website host and the forms on our Website
Google: email, spreadsheets and cloud storage we use to manage orders and records
WhatsApp (Meta): messages about your order and delivery of your report
Our email service provider: sending and receiving email
Software and technology tools: we use multiple software applications and online services, some accessed through their APIs (application programming interfaces), and may use artificial-intelligence tools, to help us calculate, prepare or review reports. We try to use only the details needed for the task.
We may also disclose personal data:
to professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, where needed, under a duty of confidentiality;
to government, regulatory, law-enforcement or judicial authorities, where the law requires us to; and
to a successor, if our business or its assets are transferred, in which case this policy continues to apply to your data.
We do not sell or rent your personal data.
7. Data stored outside India
Some of our service providers, such as Google, Framer and WhatsApp, may store or process data on servers outside India. Such transfers are made as permitted under applicable law.
8. How long we keep your data
Birth details, your report and related messages: Generally up to 12 months after your report is delivered, so that we can answer follow-up questions and handle any correction
Order, payment and refund records: For as long as tax and accounting laws require
Contact-form enquiries that do not lead to an order: Generally up to 12 months
Orders that were never paid for: Generally up to 90 days
Consent to receive offers and updates: Until you withdraw it
These periods are approximate. When data is no longer needed, we aim to delete it or make it anonymous within a reasonable time, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
9. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and subject to the conditions and exceptions set out in the law, you have the right to:
Access: ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it, and the service providers who have handled it for us.
Correct and update: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data, or update it.
Erase: ask us to erase your personal data. We will do so unless we must keep it to comply with the law, for example in payment and tax records.
Withdraw consent: withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us. This does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it. If you withdraw consent for an order that we have not yet delivered, we will be unable to complete it, and the Cancellation and Refunds provisions of our Terms and Conditions will apply.
Nominate: name another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
Complain: raise a complaint with us about how we have handled your data.
How to make a request: email support@nakshatraco.in with the subject “Privacy request”, including your name and the email or phone number you used with us. We may need to confirm your identity before acting. We aim to respond within a reasonable time, ordinarily within 30 days.
10. Children
Our readings are for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect the personal data of anyone under 18, except where a reading is ordered by the child’s parent or lawful guardian, who provides the details and consents on the child’s behalf. We do not use children’s data for tracking, behavioural monitoring or advertising. If we become aware that we hold a child’s data without such consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
11. How we protect your data
We use reasonable security safeguards appropriate to the data we hold, such as secure (HTTPS) connections to the Website, limiting access to order data, and relying on Razorpay’s secure payment pages so that we do not handle payment credentials.
No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a personal-data breach occurs, we will take the steps that applicable law requires.
We take care with your data, but we are a small team and, like anyone, we can occasionally make mistakes. If you notice anything that does not look right, please tell us and we will do our best to put it right.
12. Offers and updates
We send offers or news about new readings to people who have agreed to receive them. You can stop them at any time by replying “STOP” on WhatsApp, using the unsubscribe link in an email, or writing to support@nakshatraco.in. Messages about an order you have placed, such as confirmation, preparation and delivery, are part of the service and are not marketing.
13. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle your personal data, please write to support@nakshatraco.in first. If you are not satisfied with our reply, write to our Grievance Officer, Rishabh Singla, at rishabh@nakshatraco.in. We will try to acknowledge your complaint promptly and to resolve it within a reasonable time, ordinarily within 30 days. You may also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
14. Changes to this policy
This policy has been written with care but may contain inadvertent errors or omissions, which we may correct at any time. We may also update this policy from time to time. The latest version will be on this page, with its “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will take reasonable steps to let you know, and ask for your consent again where the law requires.
